"There'll be actual, real live people, it'll be totally strange,"
[The adventure continues—this time in Tokyo! After spending some time in Arendelle, Kaori invites Anna to her home back in Japan and doesn't take "no" as an answer! Actually, even if she refused, Kaori would just push her through the portal connecting Anna's chamber and Kaori's bedroom...well, she's always been a bit pushy, wasn't she?]

That sounds like it could be fun. You guys know the area way better than I do, so I'll be counting on you guys to sort of lead me around and see where everything is...at least I already know where the best dessert is, so that saves us a bit of time.
[ Might be nice if they're not too far from a doctor, either. Someone might have to fix a broken nose.
...Just kidding.
Maybe. ]
It may be, but a ton of it was stuff I couldn't read! But everything I could, I read cover to cover. I did have a lot of free time on my hands, after all...if I could show you this one I read called "The Princess Bride," though, you would love it...
no subject
[Yes, even Watari...! Despite his playboy ways. Kaori quickly grabs her phone (it's a flip phone just like the ones they got at horror school but it surely has more features) and shoots them a message.]
I must show you my favorite café! They have a piano there, too...you have to see it!
[And play on it, too. Kaori will make sure of that.]
"The Princess Bride"? What is it about?
no subject
[ Look, he's the enemy of every girl for a reason, goshdarnit! ]
Oh, come now, don't tell me you expect me to spoil the whole thing...it's better to go into it blind! When I was in my old school, my Mom...well, the person I call Mom now, not my birth-mom, we used to read it together every night...but it's a love story! You'll love it, I'm positive!
no subject
How come you didn't tell me about your Mom?! About the person you call your Mom, not your birth-mom!
[They're hanging out together for quite some time now, but they still don't know so many things about each other...Kaori finds that really fascinating, though.]
Tell me about her!
no subject
Well, it's a bit of a long story, how we got close enough for me to call her that...and I don't really see her as much as I'd like! She's all the way out in another world...but we met kinda the same way you and I did. In a school and everything, too...she's actually from America! But she was born in Japan! Uh, I think Okinawa?
[ She doesn't really talk much about her other school for a reason. But the people she met there, she has no reason not to talk about them, really! ]
She's a doctor! A really, really good one, too, one of the best there is. She used to be a surgeon, but she decided to become a pathologist, instead, and now she runs a clinic...she has a super special ability! Healing Touch, I'm pretty sure she calls it? It's so cool, when she does surgery, it's like time slows down for her and she's able to operate super-fast and crazy accurate...she's a genius, really! She taught me everything I know about tending to wounds and stuff.
And she's very, very beautiful, too! I wish I could show you a picture, but...she's tall and super sophisticated! She's got long white hair in a ponytail, and light blue eyes, a bit pale, but very stylish...and she's very serious, most of the time. The kind of person who drinks black coffee and likes only dark chocolate, and reads all of these big, smart books but has a soft spot for kids and love stories with happy endings...and she's stern, but always calm and level-headed, even when things get bad. That's why she's a good doctor.
She has a kid, too, who's adopted. Her name's Alyssa. She's going to be 9 this year...she calls me her big sister, too, it's adorable...
no subject
Kaori's surprised to hear that Anna's non-birth Mom is a doctor. Actually, she wanted to ask her about the specialization but thankfully Anna provided it without her asking. On a second thought, it would make things really awkward since Kaori hasn't told Anna anything yet.]
You must really love her, I can tell! The way you speak of her...
[Kaori smiles widely and tickles Anna a bit.]
It's so unfair, though! You have two sisters! Well, sort of...
no subject
H-hey, quit it, I'm ticklish..!
[ She squirms a little bit in her Snoopy pajamas; she's got really sensitive skin, so she's ultra-ticklish! ]
L-look, she just...she really helped me out a lot, during a very rough time. My other school was really rough...But she took care of me, so, it sort of became natural for me to call her that, even if she's, y'know, not really my mom...I do consider Alyssa a sister, though. I always feel like family when I go over there. Not really all that different from how I felt just now, honestly...
no subject
I'm glad that she did! If you didn't graduate from that school...I don't want to even consider what would happen if he hadn't met!
[Kaori pouts, opening herself to a counterattack from Anna.]
Funny that you mention that...when I told my parents about you they said that we're a bit like two sisters...
no subject
R-right...I-I'll have to tell you all about it sometime. But it's a bit of a long and really messy story, and it's not exactly a happy one, so...it can wait until after we finish our trip and have fun in Japan, okay? Honestly, not even Lucina knows all about it, and I couldn't even tell Elsa all the details for a little while...
[ Must be kinda serious, if she kept even Elsa in the dark. ]
T-they really said that, though?
no subject
[Of course she's curious, but it's not like she told Anna about everything herself. And it must have been something really big if even her sister doesn't know everything.
One last tickle...and she's finally done. Anna surely had enough laughs for today. Who knows what will happen tomorrow, though.]
Yep! You know, when I was little I kept telling them that I want a sister, but it just...didn't work out.
no subject
[ It is what it is! But she's gotta catch her breath a bit, after that tickle torture. She'll get her revenge before the night's through. ]
I can picture you being a really good older sister, though. Doting on some little girl and spoiling her with canelés and everything...oh gosh, it'd just be adorable...
no subject
[It seems that she lied about that last tickle attack when she reaches her hand out to touch Anna's side...but in the end she gives her a hug.]
I can't help it, kids are so adorable! I love playing with them...I think we can learn a lot from them, actually! How to have fun and don't worry about everything all the time.
I can picture you being a really good older sister, too...I mean Alyssa must really love playing with you!
no subject
As if you need to learn that from anyone. I know what you mean, though. They're so full of energy, right? I can barely get all the kids in the kingdom to settle down...
[ Kaori's one of the most carefree people she's ever met. So what she's saying makes sense...and the idea of Kaori getting along and playing with little kids is just too cute to imagine. ]
Alyssa's a snowman-building natural, just like us. And she always beats me in snowball fights! ...Of course, I do go a little easy on her, but, still, she's great at it! ...But I am more used to being a little sister, after all. They didn't call me the Super High School Level Little Sister for nothing, after all! ...That's just a fancy title they used at my old school. It means you're the best in the world at whatever it is your title is! So, like, the Super High School Level Pathologist, for example, would be the best pathologist in the world.
If you went there, you'd be the Super High School Level Violinist! Or maybe the Super High School Level Musician!
no subject
[Kaori looks around, trying to recall where she left that thing...]
Alyssa must be really adorable! ...So, you're basically the best little sister in the world? It's the cutest title I've heard of!
Super High School Level Violinist...it has nice ring to it, don't you think? Oh, I know now!
[Kaori pulls away in order to grab something for her wardrobe quickly. Actually, it happens to be a melodica.]
Tadah! I wanted to show you this for a while now!
no subject
[ If anything, she expects them to not be able to keep up with her. ]
You'll meet her someday. If I take you to go to Kalos, which I'm sure you'll really love, we'll stop by for sure...but yeah! That's what they called me, anyway. Not sure if I buy it completely, but, if there's one thing I know I'm good at, it's that, so I guess there's some truth to it.
[ In all honesty, it's pretty weak compared to some of the others. But it suits her perfectly, and she's grown to appreciate it...but that's a really strange-looking instrument! ]
What the heck is that? It looks like a piano, but what's that big tube thing for? Does it plug into something..?
no subject
[Kaori points her index finger at Anna, pretending to be a bit angry.]
What did you mean one thing you know you're good at? Please, you're great at so many things that I'm not sure if I can count them all! You've got a really incredible punch...but yeah, Super High School Level Puncher sounds weird...but you could be a Super High School Level Pianist or Cupcake Maker or...Friend!
[She can tell she's bad at thinking up those titles...but at least she tried.]
Yep, you need to plug it... [Slowly approaching Anna, she unceremoniously puts the mouthpiece into her mouth.] Right here!
no subject
I-I'm sorry! I-I'm nowhere near good enough to be a Super High School Level Pianist, though! And I don't make as good cupcakes as your family, even though I try very hard! B-but, Puncher might work, even though there are people who probably do it harder than I do! I mean, I appreciate the effort, though! You would be a really good Super High School Level Motivator! You're really good at cheering me u--oof!
[ Oh, so that's how it works... ]
So you just blow into it while you play..?
no subject
[Kaori nods at Anna’s question and presses one of the keys, but no sound can be heard.]
Yeah! You just have to blow and play. I wish we had these at school...! Want to give it a try?
no subject
[ She smiles and blows into it, pressing the first few keys... ]
O-oh my gosh, it sounds so silly...
[ She's trying to do Fur Elise, but, it just sounds so funny... ]
no subject
A bit! But not as silly as that weird note, remember? With that weird name.
[Kaori may or may not be just pretending to not remember its name. And she certainly doesn't have one in her drawer.]
It's also a great anti-pervert weapon!
[She's not kidding.]
Or weapon in general...
no subject
[ But if it really is an anti-pervert weapon, then... ]
Hm, maybe I should get one for myself, just in case this Kousei guy gives you any trouble...
[ She's teasing, of course! ]
I'll have to torture him with my bad playing! He'll have to hear nothing but Can Can for as long as he lives! O-or at least until I get tired of it!
no subject
[The truth is she can't even count how many times he has received a punch/a kick/a slap/etc from Kaori. And it's going to continue...
When Anna mentions torturing Kousei, her eyes shine...IT'S NOT WHAT YOU ARE THINKING, THOUGH.]
You...and him! You and him! I must make him play with you!!
no subject
[ Oh no, what has she done... ]
A-are you sure that's a good idea? I mean, I'm not that good...from the way you describe him, he sounds like he's on a whole other level higher than me. I mean, I can barely play right without you helping me, since I get so nervous...
[ She's definitely not quite Human Metronome level. ]
A-and besides! Isn't he your duet partner? I wouldn't dare to steal your thunder!
no subject
[Kaori pauses, giving Anna some hope probably...but then she continues:]
It's an amazing idea, the best idea ever! And your levels don't matter, really. And I'll be here all the time like I would miss my two favorite people playing together!
Oh, please do! There's nothing wrong with you stealing my thunder, I'll gladly share with you!
[Maybe asking Kousei what he thinks about it would be a good idea as well...but it somehow doesn't cross her mind.]
no subject
You really think so, huh?
[ She...knows better than to say no to Kaori, but she still can't help but be a tad bit nervous...
But the more she thinks about it, the idea of it doesn't exactly sound terrible. And she might be able to use it to help get to know him a little bit better, too...and get to know who he likes. Maybe she won't even need the five minutes... ]
Well, if he'd be okay with playing something with me, I guess I can't say no to that. What do you think we should play? Mozart? Chopin? Beethoven, maybe? Thank goodness all these famous composers are from even before I was born...
